RestoreEarth is excited to announce the launch of its 2026 Essay Competition, inviting young Nigerians to share innovative ideas on how artificial intelligence (AI) and technology can transform waste management across the country.

The competition aims to inspire critical thinking, creativity, and practical solutions to one of Nigeria’s most pressing environmental challenges. Participants will explore the theme:

“How Can AI and Technology Transform Waste Management in Nigeria?”

As technology continues to reshape industries worldwide, RestoreEarth believes that young people have a vital role to play in driving sustainable innovation and developing solutions that can improve waste collection, recycling, environmental monitoring, and public awareness.

The competition is open to Nigerian youths aged 18–30 years. Participants are required to submit an original essay between 1,500 and 2,000 words addressing the competition theme. Entries must be submitted through the official Submission Form, and participants are required to follow RestoreEarth across all social media platforms; Instagram, X(Twitter), and LinkedIn.

To recognise outstanding contributions, winners will receive the following prizes:

1st Place: ₦100,000
2nd Place: ₦50,000
3rd Place: ₦30,000

The submission deadline is 12th July 2026.

This initiative is a reaffirmation of our commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and empowering young people to become active contributors to climate and waste management solutions.
